COVID Safe Travel

COVID Safe Travel & Tours

Cairns Tours aims to provide a safe work environment and to promote the health and safety of all people performing work for Cairns Tours as well as our passengers. We consider vaccination against Covid-19 to be a key control measure to manage the risks of Covid-19 in our workplace. All Cairns Tours staff who have face to face interactions with guests, passengers, and agents (such as Driver Guides and Sales Managers) are fully vaccinated.

We operate within the Queensland Tourism and Accommodation Industry approved COVID-Safe Plan (see here), stipulating the mandatory requirements for our industry. This plan works in conjunction with current government regulations and health advice relating to COVID-19 and may be updated to ensure current best practice standards and measures for COVID-19 risk mitigation. This includes establishing specific COVID-19 controls, such as safe work procedures and supplying current information for our staff as well as our passengers travelling with us.

The laws of Queensland govern our operations. During a public health emergency, the Chief Health Officer can issue Public Health Directions to assist in containing, or to respond to, the spread of COVID-19 within the community.

A Direction may include the requirement for all passengers/guests (over 16 years) to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or evidence of medical contraindication.

All persons over 16 years are required to scan the QR code as they board the coach and complete details using the Check In QLD App for the purpose of contact tracing and vaccination status.
