KURANDA SCENIC RAIL
Your exciting day starts from your hotel pick up between 7-8 am, after which you’ll be transferred to Freshwater Station to board the Kuranda Scenic Rail. You will wind your way through some of the most magnificent scenery, including waterfalls and rainforest canopies, through stone tunnels and over hand built spans, set against a backdrop of majestic mountains and deep ravines.
KURANDA VILLAGE
Once you arrive at Kuranda Station, you will have 3 hours to explore this charming mountain retreat, awash with the colourful wares of local artisans and the Heritage Markets, which offer local produce and wares daily.
RAINFORESTATION
A shuttle bus will take you from Kuranda to Rainforestation Nature Park, set amid a hundred acres of World Heritage Rainforest. Here you will partake in numerous exciting activities, including the Koala & Wildlife Park tour and a trip through the rainforest aboard the WWII amphibious Army Duck.
SKYRAIL RAINFOREST CABLEWAY
After returning to Kuranda via shuttle, you will board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to experience the ancient tropical rainforest of the Barron Gorge National Park. Two stops are scheduled, one at the CSIRO Rainforest Interpretation Centre at Barron Falls station and the other at Red Peak Station, where you can explore the fascinating rainforest floor from elevated boardwalks. At 4:45 pm, your return transfer departs.
